Do I need to be present during the cleaning?No, your presence is not required. We offer flexible key arrangements to make the process hassle-free for you. You can provide us with a door code, leave the key in a secure location, or give us a spare key. This way, you can enjoy a fresh and spotless home without adjusting your schedule.

Do you clean homes with pets?Absolutely! We love pets and are happy to work in homes with furry companions. We just ask that you secure your pets in a safe, comfortable space during the cleaning to avoid any stress for them or distractions for our team.

Do you always send the same team?Yes. Since we (the owners) are your cleaning team, you’ll always know who’s coming. That means no surprises and consistent quality. As we are growing we may send someone else in the future, we’ll let you know in advance and ensure it’s someone you can trust.

Do I need a deep cleaning for my first appointment?If you're starting a recurring cleaning plan, we highly recommend beginning with a deep clean. This allows us to bring your space to a high baseline standard, so future cleanings are quicker and more efficient. Deep cleaning includes extra detail work (e.g. baseboards, inside appliances, build-up removal) and ensures your regular service can be kept consistent and thorough.

How often should I schedule a cleaning?The ideal cleaning frequency depends on various factors, such as your lifestyle, the size of your home, your budget, and personal preferences. To keep your space consistently clean and fresh, we recommend booking a cleaning at least once a week or every two weeks. Not sure if your current schedule is the right fit? No problem! Just let us know, and we’ll be happy to adjust it to better suit your needs and expectations

Do you offer move-in/move-out or post-renovation cleaning?Yes! We specialize in detailed cleanings for both. These include extras like deep appliance cleaning, inside cabinets and more. Let us know when booking so we can prepare accordingly. More about our services at lavenderladier.ca/services.

Is there anything you don’t clean?For safety and liability reasons, we do not: Clean mold, biohazards, or pest-infested areas Move heavy furniture or appliances Clean anything above arm’s reach without a step stool If unsure, feel free to ask before booking.

What if I’m not satisfied with the service?Your satisfaction is our priority! If something doesn’t meet your expectations, let us know within 24 hours, and we will make it right.

How does payment work at Lavender Ladies?After your cleaning is completed, an invoice will be issued and sent to you by email. Payment is due within 7 calendar days of the service date. If payment is late, a $15 late fee will be added every 7 days until the balance is cleared. Unpaid invoices may be escalated to Small Claims Court in Calgary, Alberta if necessary. We truly appreciate your understanding — these policies help us protect our small business and ensure we can continue providing reliable, high-quality service to all our clients.

What forms of payment do you accept?We accept e-transfer and soon credit cards payments via our Client Hub. Cash payments are accepted if arranged in advance.

Can I book a cleaning for the same day?We require at least 24 hours' notice to schedule a cleaning. While we may have last-minute availability, all bookings must be confirmed at least one day in advance so we can plan accordingly.

What if I need to reschedule a clean?We understand things happen and you may not be able to keep your scheduled clean - That's OK! Just please let us know a minimum of 2 business days in advance of your appointment and we'll do our best to shift your schedule. If we receive less than 2 business days' notice or we cannot access your home, Lavender Ladies will charge you the full price of your cleaning.

What happens if my recurring cleaning falls on a holiday?We don’t operate on statutory holidays. If your regular service date lands on a holiday, we’ll contact you in advance to reschedule for a more convenient time.

What is your cancellation policy?We kindly ask for at least 2 business days' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full price of your clean.

When is an unpaid invoice escalated to court?If an invoice remains unpaid and no communication has been made to arrange payment, we may begin legal action after 7 days past due. All unpaid invoices are subject to collection, and cases may be filed with Small Claims Court in Calgary, Alberta. Before taking legal steps, we always attempt to resolve the matter amicably through written reminders.

Is your company insured?Absolutely. We’re fully registered and insured to protect both our clients and our team.

What if something’s damaged during a clean?We treat every home with great care. In the rare case something breaks, we’ll do our best to repair or replace it. And yes — our cleaners are insured, so you can file a claim if needed.

What happens if something goes missing or gets stolen?We understand this is a personal and important concern. As owners and cleaners, your trust means everything to us. We are fully insured and committed to working with transparency and integrity. If you ever have any concerns, we will handle them immediately and respectfully.

What happens if someone gets injured in my home?You don’t need to worry — our insurance covers any injuries that may happen while our team is working on your property.

Can Lavender Ladies refuse service or change the price if the home is extremely dirty?Yes — to maintain fairness for both clients and our team, we reserve the right to adjust the price or decline service if a home is found to be excessively dirty or neglected beyond normal standards. We define this as follows: Neglected Home: A home that hasn’t been cleaned or maintained over an extended period (often months), showing widespread buildup, dust, grease, stains, cobwebs, trash accumulation, or hygiene concerns in multiple areas. Beyond-Normal Dirtiness: A home that exceeds expected mess from daily life — e.g. heavy grease or residue in kitchens, hardened soap scum or mildew in bathrooms, cluttered or inaccessible surfaces, or visible pet messes. In such cases, we’ll communicate transparently and either: Offer a revised quote for a deep or restoration clean Decline the service if we cannot safely or reasonably complete it This helps ensure every clean is safe, effective, and respectful to both sides.

Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?No, we come fully prepared with all the necessary cleaning products and equipment to ensure a thorough and efficient cleaning of your space. If you prefer us to use your own vacuum or mop for hygiene reasons, we are happy to do so upon request!
